History of Angelica 

Introduction

The Town of Angelica was first settled in 1802 by a group of people led by Phillip Church (nephew of Alexander Hamilton) and was named after his mother, Angelica Schuyler Church. It was designated a town in 1805. From its foundation to present day, the town has had a rich history, driven by the actions of those who have been a part of our community.
